I'm a YA writer, unsigned in every way. I'm also a cosmetologist and a creator of anything that catches my eye, but that hardly matters. At the moment I'm working on a YA fantasy series and a YA apocalyptic when my mind needs a break from the former.
My life mainly consists of the mundane-- reading, writing, and spending time with my husband when I can. I love books with dark themes and I'm a bit worn on the topic of dystopian futures. I have a habit of finding holes in stories and immediately setting the book aside in doing so.
I grew up in a rural area with not a lot to do. You either find a hobby and good friends to occupy your time, or you find yourself getting into trouble. I've managed to do all three in the past. And now, here I am, writing out this blog. I guess my hobby stuck.
A lot here is just tips, issues I've noticed while reading books that I feel like should be addressed for other writers, though hopefully I'll be able to post about other stuff. Tips from an amateur can only go so far.
